Dupa ani intregi in care a uitat cine e de fapt si nu a reusit decat sa intre-n tot felul de probleme, Taylor Smith (U.S.A. California) si-a gasit un scop in muzica hip-hop. In februarie 2005 si-a lansat debutantul LP intitulat "The Bitterness of Bleeding for You", urmand ca degrabă dupa sa inceapa lucrul la al doilea album. Acum, dupa 2 ani, a lansat al doilea LP si a sustinut multe liveuri pentru a-l promova, impartind scena cu numerosi artisti precum Lupe Fiasco, De La Soul, Blak Watr Cliq, etc. Cu un mesaj incarcat de adevar si comapsiune, Taylor Smith a pornit intr-o campanie de promovare a noului sau album "Stay Grateful" si a mesajului pe care-l aduce acest material.
"Simply said, the only part of my childhood that was troubled, was me. My life prior to turning 20 was a series of repeated disastrous events. I bought my first hip hop cassette when I was 12 and then proceeded to listen to metal for the next 6 years. I didn’t find hip hop, hip hop found me and when it did I was introduced to a whole other world of music. I was 18.
Today I am older, and wiser I would hope. I’ve been through my hard times just like everyone else in life and I’ve made it my personal mission to connect with people and relate to them on a level where nothing else but feelings matter. What I have to say in my music is something more important to me than anything else in my whole life.
